Greetings! My name is Dana and I am the owner of Gracious Roots Doula Care. The word gracious, meaning compassionate and kind, is my goal for your care. My passion is to ensure that you have the care and support that you need in the face of adversity and a trying society.
I am pursuing full-spectrum training and I am available for postpartum doula services. I look forward to hearing from you and the opportunity to support you in welcoming this new precious life into our world!
WHO WE ARE
Grand rising, one and all! My name is Dana and I am the creator of Gracious Roots Doula Care. As a graduate of linguistics, I have chosen my name quite deliberately. I want you to take solace in the fact that I will offer you and your loved ones nothing short of gracious compassionate care in welcoming your new arrival into this universe.
I have worked as a preschool teacher since 2014, and in doing so, I have found my passion for supporting families. Teaching gave me an avenue to be this support person, but I am striving for more. As a postpartum doula, I know that I can fulfill that need—for both myself and for others.

As a queer Black woman living with depression and anxiety, I have a deep understanding of the complex ways that life can affect our emotions. I can support you in your solo parenting journey or in your alternative family lifestyle. I hold no judgment over accepting and loving homes!
